the cha bam (meatballs) was pretty dry and flavourless. used to be much better. didn't have the meung( bacon bits), new do in fact, its all about the meatballs. (if you want meatballs only btw ask for bun Cha Bam. Also, I prefer the liquid to come quite hot as it gets cold very quick from the bun otherwise.
Would reccommend several other places over this. 2 Van Meo would be one off the top of my head.

Gngnnhhhhngngn. Hmph.
What once were a great mound of the delicious and a fair price is now a greasy homogeneous tasteless disappointment.
Nem? No taste. Cha? No taste. Sauce? Minimal taste.
Oh dear.
Price? 90k? Eh? Ok fine then.
It looks the part, oh yes, piles of fantastic looking meat and nem, proper scungy decor, suitably cramped upper levels, and a handy location for some, but the product is just not there.
Eat two bowls somewhere else.

I reviewed this place several months ago and gave it three stars. The review can be found here:

I stand by most of what I wrote in that earlier review, however I am re-rating it down, as their prices have recently increased significantly. At the time I wrote my last review, one serve of bun cha and two nem cost VND60,000. I ate there two months ago and again today, and both times they charged me VND90,000. The standard price for bun cha around the city is approximately VND30,000. Yes, everyone who loves this place will cry "but you get such big servings!" - yeah, but they aren't twice the size of what you get at an average bun cha stall, and definitely not three times the size.
This place is now much too expensive relative to its competitors. Not good value at all. Minus one star.
Edit: I just read the review below of someone claiming they were recently charged VND55,000 for their meal here. In that case, I guess the restaurant screwed me, because I was charged VND90,000. Twice. In that case, maybe this should be a one star review.

As a big big( really big) fan of Bun cha, this is my number 1 choice for it :
The only place i know that serve enough meat for me even the quality isnot so good.( but it doesnt matter so much coz i do love grilled pord in Bun cha, other restaurants, they just put not enough for me as it will freak them out if i oder 2 sets)
The spring roll is tasty enough.
Just cant give them 5 stars becoz the price has been increased too qucikly.
