I have been going here for over two years now, and while it may be a dirty sh-thole, it has some of the best food in all of Hanoi. They mix Vietnamese streetfood culture with a western dish, resulting in a winning combination. It is my favorite place to go with my Vietnamese friends.

Also something happened here recently that made me give it five stars. About two months ago they short changed me 40000 VND. They had some little kid working there and he told them the wrong amount I handed him. I told them, with the best Vietnamese I could manage, I gave the kid a 50000 and not a 10000, but they weren't having of it and I decided to leave because I was about a minute away from something physical.

Then today I went there with my girlfriend and before we even sat down the woman explained to her in Vietnamese what had happened and that they were wrong and she actually apologized and deducted 40,000 from my bill.

This place is a class act all the way.

Although my favourite is not the chicken, but the BBQ sweet potato, well worth a try.
Chickens lying in bowls and buckets by the road, chefs with fags hanging out of their mouths. Not a place if you concerned about health and hygiene.
A good place to show visiting friends and family with strong stomachs

This place is filthy. No excuses. There is no need for this place to be the dirty sh-t hole it is. I have had bum wees for a week after eating here. Just because its sooooooo authentic and all the cool, keeping-it-real-language-teacher types love it doesnt mean a god damned thing. Im gonna get my mum to go down there and tell the f-ckers to clean the place up

Went today and had some Cold Tea, two chicken legs and two sticks of chicken ribs.

The food taste great and was thinking about a 5 star review, however some of the chicken still had some red (uncooked) parts on the insight, so dunno what my body will say about it tomorrow.

Edit: Well the days after I found out my body was still happy about all the food.

About the price, it seems that It was either normal or close to normal price. So would call it a solid 4 star for now. I will try again soon and see if they can persuade me to a 5 star.

Note: I went to the one at the end of the street, to the right, just before all the motorbike parking.


Postives:
- Great food
- Full of vietnamese people, messy and crazy, for a real vietnam experience

Negatives:
- For the clean freaks a no go zone
- Might pay some "white tax" => Solution: ask price before ordering

Amazing food while you're eating it.. Leaves a a bit of a sour taste though when you're blatantly ripped off every time.

Still an easy 5 star though.. The food is well worth the $2 extra I have to pay.
