We tried this place a while back; it had a nice friendly laid back atmosphere. It's not overly large and it was fairly busy, but we were still able to get a table and the fans and air-conditioning were able to cope.

The menu wasn't extensive but it seems to be the sort of place where instead of packing the menu with everything and only cooking some of it well, they pare it down to what their chef is good at. There were various Vietnamese dishes and one or two combination plates that had serves of the others picked for you and presented. We chose one, with a salad and some spring rolls. It was good, even the tofu (which I normally turn my nose up at).

The beers were nice and cold, and the cocktail I had was mixed well. I will definitely head back there when I'm in the area when I want a lazy, low key meal and just sit and watch the tourists.

Nice place, good food, quite cheap drinks. Simply and definitely a place to go.

it was too hot for me on a summer day (June) there was no fan/no AC...

With my friend we enjoyed the opening party, cool vibes, the live band was quite nice and I learned a lot about North Vietnam motobike trip possibilities.

It's not often 4 people sign-up to become New Hanoians specifically to review one new location. Using only that as an indicator, I expected this place to be one phenomenal dining experience.

I arrived and was surprised to find Ket Noi marginally functional with only a drinks menu and some startled staff who didn't quite know what to do with me. I guess I'll have to return after they have their hard opening when all the world can partake of their glorious food.
