Chung den combines the quintessential bia hoi atmosphere with surprisingly delicious food. I've ordered at least 15 dishes here, and haven't had one I didn't like. The wait staff is also great. Come back a few times and they'll begin to write down your favorite orders before you have a chance to butcher the pronunciation : )

This is a great spot to know about. The staff are lovely, cheerful and fun (they glowingly gave me and my mum a surprise discount on women's day!). The menu is great for variety, especially on vegetarian options, and it's handily in English as well.

I recommend the banana flower salad (can't get enough of it!), deep fried corn niblets, and tofu dishes, among the usual bia hoi faves.

With the location set under train tracks it's a fun place to bring visitors.

My favorite bia hơi in Hanoi. Reliable, good food - we've been here at least a half dozen times and it doesn't disappoint. Tofu dishes and good salads mean it is also quite vegetarian friendly. Really friendly young staff.
