I have been here for both massage and acupuncture. The massage was fine. However, if you like acupuncture, you are in for a treat. Their acupuncturist is very caring and her English is decent. She read my tongue and checked my pulses just as a traditional Chinese medical doctor should before treating a patient. I found the acupuncture relaxing, and I had an assistant massage my aching wrist during the entire treatment. The result? Since the treatment I have been less stressed out and the wrist is much better. I'm going back today for another treatment and I think Yakushi is going to be part of my health routine here in Hanoi.

Hot stone massage was the best massage I have ever had in my life. I fell asleep and had a religious awakening. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for a genuinely good shiatsu massage.... with masseurs who actually know what their doing and do it with strength and real pressure then this is the place for you! Took me a while to find a decent massage in Hanoi... most apply the lightest touch you hardly notice you had a massage, and they do it whilst chatting to their mate, not really focused or caring. At Yakushi they counter balance the wrongs committed by the majority of masseurs in Hanoi... they are incredibly professional, you get your own private cabin, and proper massage table, plenty of pressure and you definitely feel the difference afterwards!

I've been here 3 times in the past week and a half and they've all been a very positive experiences.


First I went b/c I was having no luck finding a massuse who would work specifically on the knot in my shoulder and neck. Who ever I had worked their magic and added hot stones into the mix also.
Hard but effective!
Did find it weird that you could hear other as you're in the same room but with partitions but it wa all very private and quite relaxing.

2nd time was for some accupucture which I hadn't had done since I was about 15 so some time ago! The lady read my tounge and then checked all my points sussing out where all my engergies were etc. Also included neck and shoulder massage for a very modest price!

3rd time was yesterday and it was the reason why I give 4 stars instead of 5 for a combination of reasons, some of them my wn fault. I still have the knot in my shoulder(albiet a lot better than before) and so asked for a combo or effective and relaxing. If you like your massage hard all the time rather than swedish style- dont make this mistake!
I did speak up however and the lady changed her tactics more to acupressue style which was good but not a lovely as the first lady I saw.

The main thing was that because of only having curtains between people when some people relax and fall deep asleep they become like constant blow off valves (wooooooop tisssh)which overall dampens your personal enjoyment of the massage.

All in all a very positive experience that I've already reccomended to others.

I've been seeing Dr. Thuy for about 2 months now and she is miracle worker! She's helped everything from my broken hand, the Ha Noi pollution cough, to everyday tension. I had never had acupuncture before but I'm now 100% sold. This is best thing since sliced bread! The clinic is incredibly clean, you could eat off the floors, quiet and calm. A wonderful escape from busy Ha Noi life. Dr. Thuy is very thorough, intuitive, and competent. I wish I had 1/10th of her knowledge and understanding. Yesterday I actually fell asleep while she was inserting those lovely little needles to relieve my achy back. Coming from a needlephobe that's saying a lot. I'd give more stars if that were possible, you won't be disappointed here.
