NOT JAPANESE STYLED - OVER PRICED
As I dined here and found out that their Menu is quite limited but concentrates much in hot pot and those kind of crossed Vietnamese- Japanese food like rare beef...
Food quality is normal, their soya sauce is extremely salty.
I think this restaurant should call "Vietnamese-styled Japanese foods". Quite often of big groups of Vietnamese come and have hot pot here. Price is over-charged in compare with Sushi Bar. And they do stupid thing in putting VAT into every bills??? For what? And for people, who do not collect the Red-Invoice from them, then whose pocket will the 10% of VAT come to? This is not smart and correct. I do not recommend this restaurant to whom expertise in Japanese foods.
If you look for more Authentic Japanese Restaurant with reasonable price, Sushi Bar can be considered.

Abu Dhabi Desert

Price = reasonable about 500k with 1 beer and 1 fresh juice...
Service = very well intentioned, friendly staff
amuse-bouche = tasty rice roll with seaweed inside
Prawn Tempura = a little soggy for tempura
US Beef sashimi = delicious, my fav. dish
chicken teriyaki = I can make better at home
pork dumpling = edible, I would order again if I go back
Green Tea Ice Cream = only desirable if one really likes green tea...

It seems like we ate at a different place to the other reviews below because the experience we had there last night was nothing short of brilliant. Seriously, this was one of the better dining experiences I have had in Hanoi.

Firstly, the service. These girls have been trained very well, very attentative and friendly. We had a good chat to what appeared to be one of the head waitresses and she told us all about the restaurant. It's run by a Japanese chef who also has two restaurants in Sydney. This place is not Vietnamese folks, it's Japanese through and through.

The menu is refreshingly small compared to some other asian restaurants in Hanoi and has all your old favourite Japanese dishes. We went for some sashimi, beef tataki, gyoza and a prawn dish. Wow, fantastic food, we were impressed with every dish and being a bit of a gyoza freak, I can honestly say this is some of the best I've ever had, anywhere.

Give it a go guys, it's only been open for 2 weeks and hopefully will prove itself. I've promised to be a regular already - fantastic food and service is hard to find around Truc Bach.

I like this one. I like the staff, the food. What I like most is hotpot. And I agree that it's very Japanese (even in my very modest experiences).
