Goldmalt, it's hot pot and black beer gets me through winter every year in Hanoi!

I don't like the decor much, too much wood so I sometimes feel like I'm eating on a boat. Still, a few beers later and it somehow works.

Good place for large groups of friends.

Over the last 12 months I've dropped in here for beers and/or lunch on numerous occasions. Every time it's been enjoyable.

The beer is good, cold and usually well poured. The food on offer is surprisingly good and reasonably true to menu - even if the french fries look more like fried glow sticks. The staff are really nice and go out of their way to provide good service to all customers.

Several times I have met people just by nature of it being a beer hall and having that kind of vibe to it - after a few drinks everyone is everyone's mate!

Particularly for those living around this part of town, this Goldmalt is a good option for beer and munchies. Even for those of us living far away, it's still a solid option to meet up with mates and enjoy an afternoon.

The decor doesn't look as fancy as Hoa Vien or Legends, but about everything else is enjoyable.

The beer is as nice as other European beer halls. The food is made with more care, my picky side screams.

Like other beer halls, you never get a fair price for things. BUT, I'm saying this in the good way. The menu is very affordable, on top of that Goldmalt offers borderline sick discounts for loyal customers. A friend of mine gets 30-40% off his beer tab, and 9 complimentary Liters on his birthday. Excellent night it was!

Would definitely recommend for people who want a regular spot for European style beer without burning through your pockets.
