I use this place for its French language course and its cafe. The language course is incredibly good value at 1.6 million dong for nine weeks of classes three times a week. The teachers are very good and it's a really fun way to get to know Vietnamese people, as most of the students are from here. Only gripe is the advanced level classes are all late afternoon, catering I guess to full time workers.
The very modern, clean and comfortable cafe has decent coffee, yoghurt, fresh pastries, Fannys ice-cream - but really dreadful sandwiches made with toasted cold bread and infused with cinnamon due to the cinnamon-flavored toothpicks they use to hold them together. I look forward to using their other facilities like the library and going to events, but will skip the restaurant due to my experience with the sandwiches.

Having seen a couple of shows here, I have recently been working with L'Espace to hire the theatre space. They have been an absolute pleasure to work with, although a little expensive, very professional and the theatre is very well equipped and maintained.
Whilst waiting for meetings, we hung out in the cafe area. It is very comfortable, light, airy although no wifi. I expected it to cost an arm and a leg for drinks, but non, au contraire! the drinks are very reasonable and a great selection.
Friends who take classes here are very satisfied with the service and they have a great library.
I have vowed to hang out here more often, to feel a little more cultural and intellectual whilst being arty and European at the same time!

This place is a gem! With a library, performance space, language classes and a cafe, you can spend a whole day here. The cafe has a good menu of drinks and even does Fanny ice cream sundaes at a good price.
There are numerous tables and typically people come with a book or meet a friend and stay a while. The only annoying thing is when parents bring small children and let them run around and scream and disturb everyone else (it's happened more than once). Still, it's relatively peaceful and I can't think of too many spaces in Hanoi with so much variety and possibility.

I'm a student here and like this place very much.
The French courses are well organized though I thought they were a bit disturbing at the beginning.
The library is good also, but considering me knowing no French, I can't say its books and movies are great or bad.
The coffee lounge is okay, the staffs are enthusiastic, the price is acceptable and the armchairs are comfortable :) The atmosphere is okay, not too quiet to make you whisper and not too noisy that you have to shout at each other :)
The activities there are quite various. Free parking (though the parking lot seems a little bit small in my opinion).

I go to l'Espace quite frequently to borrow French books, comics and films. To become a member it's about 600K and that entitles you to borrow 2 books and one film for 2 week periods.
I've also been to their cafe and to their restaurant. The cafe is in the front of the centre. You can order all kinds of drinks, ice creams and club sandwiches. The coffee tastes a little like some kind of flower which is a bit weird by there is a nice atmosphere.
The restaurant is out the back, upstairs. It is outside in a lovely courtyard area with lots of trees and flowers. The food is mainly Vietnamese but there are a few sandwiches available. The food is not great but I love the French atmosphere.
