I would like to buy a 500gb - 1tb portable hard drive. I want to know if I'll where to find one that is somewhat close to the price in the U.S. So i don't have to go through all of the shipping hassle.

Are you looking for specifically a Portable Hard drive or is a USB Passport an option?

I would recommend the passports as they hold just as much and much smaller and quicker when transferring files between the comp and USB Passport.

Take a look here:

any electronics store in hoan kiem will sell some external hard drives. I recently got a WD 1Tb for roughly $120. That's not a bad price.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from seagate drives though. had two of them crash on me and lost all my data in recent yrs.

I am having trouble finding a passport Western Digital 1 TB portable hard drive.

I've been to 'computer street" (ly man de?) and techland.

Does anyone know where I can buy a Western Digital portable hard drive, 1 TB (for USB 2.0)?

ly nam de doesn't have them. you go to those "big" electronic stores on tran hung dao, hai ba trung, near hoan kiem area. they blast those loud music for you to come.

i bought a 1tb passport just a few weeks ago for 2.4m

I looked at the Western Digital Hard Drive at Pico Mall on Hai Bat Trung street.

They have Western Digital Passports (1 TB).

Quick question here (as I could not ask clearly VNese language to the salesman.

These passports say "3.0 USB."

Are they compatible with USB 2.0?

My laptop is a few years old and only has USB 2.0.

^ Thanks again for the help, ruben3.

OK, last question.

Does the Western Digital Passport 1 TB come with a USB chord?

I do not have any.

If they do not come with it, how much will I pay for a 2.0 USB chord at Pico.

(Sorry for these dopey questions.)
