Hi, folks. I'm new on this site, and I read the instructions, so I hope I am operating within the rules. I am in Thailand, though I'm from the US. I'm very strongly considering teaching ESL in VN, and to that end have been studying Vietnamese. I have an MA in TESL and plenty of experience. I sent email inquiries to VUS English Centers (based on a reco) and to Vietnam Teachings Jobs.com and Compass Education, both just as a result of a google search. But here's the think.... I haven't g...

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to buy Concerta in Vietnam? In the USA it is a controlled drug and I can only get 30 tablets each month. That way they can limit illegal sales of drugs in the USA. My parents aren't able to send me my medicine overseas, and my doctor won't prescribe me anymore unless I show up the the USA and have an appointment. It is all very annoying. Does anyone know of any ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder) medication in Vietnam? Other than Ritalin? Thanks ...

Hello, I have to make it here to hear your point of view on this terrible thing. You might question why. Long story but the main reason was I wasn't interested and told him to go away. He got pissed and hit me right at the traffic light off Au Co street. I called the police then. But when the cops showed up, he pretended to apologise. Even after that he still texted me nasty messages. I blocked his number and could have let this go. But it's not fair. I mean you guys are warmly welcome to th...

Looking for wide angle, primary lens that fits Nikon body. Nikkor, Tamron, Tokina, Sigma are all ok, as long as it's good glass and FULL FRAME. New or used. Not fish-eye. 20mm or wider. I've been to a few shops on Vong Duc, and they seemed hopeful, but all their lenses were zooms. Any suggestions appreciated!

Need some help locating a bicycle shop that provides a home service. I purchased a bicycle several years ago from a shop in the old quarter (can't remember which 1). I need a service call as the front brakes have ceased working (either because the cable has stretch or snapped). Not really prepared to ride it around with only back brakes. Any help much appreciated.

How much, approximately, is it for a medical consultation? I recently had my medical for work permit at Hong Ngoc in Keangnam. I found them to be very efficient. So any advice on costs would be very much appreciated.

Hey, I am looking for a job teaching English in Hanoi. The school with the most jobs seems to be MIC - MINH QUANG INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION, does anybody know whether this is a reliable employer or not? I have seen a couple of negative reviews but they are at least a year old so just wondering if they've upped their game? If not, does anybody know of any trustworthy schools I could apply to? Thanks!

Hi all. I've read what feels like a thousand sites debating this issue. I've been a secondary English teacher in the UK for four years, I am assistant subject leader and whole school literacy co-ordinator. I have a first class degree in English Language from a good university which included a module in ESL teaching, but isn't a TEFL or CELTA qualification. I'm looking to take a break from my hectic lifestyle and move to Vietnam with my boyfriend from October 2017 to June 2018. I don't wan...
