Pidge's thoughts are spot on. Had dinner for 4 here last night. Staff were professional, but hardly welcoming. Small table sign makes it readily clear 'we have only one dish. 150.000 per person'. Yet, the portions brought for our party were terribly small. One of our group speaks tieng Viet, and upon pointing out the measly quantity of fish, they did eventually provide more. Beer & soda prices were normal, but no menus were ever offered. Odd that a guidebook staple has such a tougher time catering to foreigners.
Fish quality was good, soft and fresh, while the cooking broth was mildly aromatic and not too oily. But still, none of the flavors really 'sang' or stood out compared to street offerings.
Perhaps a worthwhile stop, but really nothing remarkable.
