Hello! I have read and have all the info I need to fly my dog to UK. I have read about international movers in Hanoi. I phoned them but they didnt speak english. They also didnt reply to my email to get a quote through expat finders. I also tried to contact the department of animal health to start to prepare billies microchipping and blood sample. They didnt respond to my email. Now Im not sure what to do as noone is responding to me. The only one who had is animal doctors in hcm but I need a company in the North. If you can send up to date contact deets and relevant address I will go straight to their buildings to inquire. Happy new year and cheers, Mary
Are there any "Reputable" Dog and Cat Breeders in Hanoi?? I am seeking to purchase a suitable puppy or kitten in Hanoi however from what I read and been told it is problematic to acquire a puppy or kitten which have had the necessary Vet health check and been given the necessary vaccinations to ensure immunisation of animal diseases to ensure their long-term health. If anyone can assist by providing contact details e.g. website etc... of any reputable dog and cat breeders and any listed reputable Veterinarian - any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also what is the average cost VND to buy a puppy or kitten ? regards PK Melbourne Australia
Does anyone have a regular taxi driver and/or company they use that speaks decent English? I'm trying to find a cab company that can understand directions in English (for my wife). She will need to take several trips to the doctors (at Vinmec) and we live off a main road that is difficult to find/address does not pop up on a map. If it helps, we live off of Xuan Dieu.
Does anyone know the name and number of the taxi company which employs all female drivers? I once saw one of their taxis around the Hoan Kiem area, but it didn't occur to me to note it down at the time. Thanks!
I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good area/street of Hanoi to buy a used/second-hand motorbike. I would like to broaden my search beyond the classified section of TNH =) Any ideas would be very helpful. Thanks!
Which brand of dehumidifier would people suggest buying? I want something that works very well indeed. In another post, the name "Delongui" was dropped, but that's all I've been able to see - are there any other good brands? Also, for DVD players that will play all regions, which brand would people suggest? And where's the best place to buy it? My housemates recommended cheap & nasty at Metro, however there are quite a few C&Ns to select between. Thanks R

My dumbass question for July: Just had a burfday and want to indulge in a little shopping. Went out and did a mad Made in Vietnam hop-skip across Hanoi, coupled with a stop on Nha Tho/Nha Chung street and Kana. Got a couple of things, but really hoped for more. Xe om driver extra happy at the end of the day when payment time came. Back at home I decided to join the online shoppers, if only to fantasize. Then it hit me - how difficult is it to get Victoria's Secret, Old Navy, or another familiar (ie I know what size I wear there) store in the US to ship to Vietnam? Or is it more feasible to send to a friend, who can then ship it to me? I know we've discussed books and other equip here, but was wondering if anyone had experience with getting clothing shipped? Will I lose my shi...
