Bánh trôi Tàu (“Chinese floating cake”) is a dessert that originated from China, consisting of balls made from mung bean paste and sesame wrapped in a shell of glutinous rice flour. The balls are served in a hot, sweet and dilute saurce made of water, sugar, grated ginger root, sesame seeds and grated coconut. Bánh trôi Tàu is similar to Bánh trôi nước.
