Tào phớ

Tào phớ (northern) or Tàu hũ (southern) is Douhua - a Chinese dessert made with very soft tofu. It is also referred to as tofu pudding and soybean pudding. In Vietnam, it varies regionally. In northern Vietnam, it is served with sugar and jasmine and is taken warm in winter or iced in summer. In the central regions, it is cooked with spicy ginger with or without sugar. In the south, it is served warm with coconut water and with or without ginger.
