Xôi chè

Xôi chè (sticky rice with chè) is a traditional dessert of Hanoi. It’s made from sticky rice rubbed with mung beans and chè. After being steamed, the rice is left to dry. The accompanying chè is made from either black beans, areca spadix or just simple red sugar. The combination makes xôi chè different from other types of chè, though it is often sold with the other varieties.
